This paper presents a new draft security assessment, which assesses both dry-year energy and peaking capacity, covering the period from 2010 to 2019. Feedback is sought on the assumptions and conclusions of the assessment.
Submissions on the assessment are invited by 5pm on 29 January 2010.
The preference is to receive submissions in electronic format (Microsoft Word). The electronic version should be emailed with "Consultation Paper - Annual Security Assessment 2009" in the subject header to submissions@electricitycommission.govt.nz. If submitters do not wish to send their submission electronically, they should post it in hard copy form to:

All submissions will be acknowledged electronically. Please contact Lisa DuFall if you do not receive electronic acknowledgement of your submission within two business days.
Your submission is likely to be made available to the general public on the website.
