Otahuhu Substation proposal [Closing date: 2007/07/13 17:00:00 GMT+12]

On 25 May 2007, in accordance with rule 15.1 of section III of part F of the Electricity Governance Rules 2006, the Commission published a notice of its intention to approve Transpower's Otahuhu Substation Diversity Proposal.

The Commission received several requests for a public conference under rule 15.2 of section III of part F of the Electricity Governance Rules 2006 and agreed to hold a public conference.  The purpose of the public conference is to provide a final opportunity for comment on the proposed investment.

The Commission invites interested parties (whether intending to present at the conference or not) to provide written comments on the Proposal and the Commission’s decision, as set out in the notice of intention, to approve the Proposal..

The reasons for the Commission’s decision are set out in its recently released paper .
    When you provide your comments, please indicate whether you wish to present your comments at the public conference. 

    The Commission requests that written comments are received by no later than 5.00pm on 13 July 2007. 

    The Commission’s preference is to receive comments in electronic form (Microsoft Word).  It is not necessary for parties submitting to send the Commission hard copies of their comments.

    Comments in electronic form should be emailed with “Transpower’s Otahuhu Substation Diversity Proposal: decision” in the subject header.

    The Commission will acknowledge receipt of all comments by email.  Please contact Jenny Walton at the Commission if you do not receive acknowledgement within two business days.

    The Commission intends to publish all comments received on its website.  Please indicate any documents attached in support of your comments in a covering letter and clearly indicate any information that is provided to the Commission on a confidential basis.  If your comments contains confidential material, please provide the Commission with both confidential and public versions.

    The responsibility for ensuring that confidential information is not included in a public version of a submission rests entirely with the party making the submission.

    Submitters should note that the submissions/comments provided to the Commission will be “official information” under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA).
