The Electricity Commission is considering changes to the Electricity Governance Rules relating to the routine testing of assets and invites submissions from interested parties.

The purpose of this paper is to:

• provide background and outline the analysis undertaken on routine testing of assets;
• provide a detailed statement of proposal; and
• recommend a set of draft rule changes which were developed as a result of the analysis and assessment undertaken.

Submissions are sought on the paper by 5 pm on 24 April 2007. Comments should preferably be sent by e-mail, in Word format, to:
