Input sought on big picture issues for the 2007/08 planning round

The Electricity Commission has commenced planning for 2007/08. Similar to last year, as an early part of the process, the Commission is seeking comments on 'big picture' issues for the electricity industry.

Input on the ‘big picture’ is sought by 16 October 2006 and will be used as to develop the appropriation consultation for the 2007/08 year, due to be released in November 2006. Feedback from the appropriation consultation is part of the development process for the Statement of Intent.

The Commission is required to undertake its functions with a high degree of transparency. Accordingly, please be aware that any information provided to the Commission may be discussed with, or provided to, other parties UNLESS you specify that information is provided to the Commission as “Commercial in Confidence”, in which case you should specify the information that is confidential and the reasons. You should also be aware that the Commission is subject to the Official Information Act 1982.
