In developing and implementing programmes, the Commission has sought to consult with and develop effective working relationships with other government agencies.
A key relationship is with the Electricity Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA), as EECA and the Commission have within their functions a common objective to promote the efficient use and conservation of electricity.
On 18 November 2008, EECA and the Commission signed an updated memorandum of understanding detailing working principles and arrangements between the parties and includes reference to the matters set out in the May 2008 Government Policy Statement on Electricity Governance. This MoU updates the earlier one signed between the parties in August 2005.
