The Modelling Group has recently carried out some investigation of the ability of the power system to absorb more wind generation, focusing on the probability distributions of the magnitude of change in wind output on various time scales. 

Some model results will be posted here within the next few weeks.

New Zealand Wind Energy Conference 2009
