This list includes all of New Zealand's medium to large generators, and some of the smaller ones. Some small embedded generators are omitted, and some generators that have ceased to operate are also not included here.

The output from individual generating units (notably, the gas turbines at Huntly Power Station) is not available here, but can be found in the full Centralised Dataset.

NOTE: The Commission has not received output data for some embedded generators since 1 April 2008, and others since March 2009. As a result, the recorded generation totals for this period are too low. These data gaps will be plugged when the full data become available.
