There are a number of requirements, contained in the retail sections (part D, part E, and part J) of the Electricity Governance Rules 2003 (Rules), for audits to take place. The Rules require some audits to be conducted periodically while others are undertaken at the discretion of the Commission or specific service provider agreements.
The Commission is committed to ensuring all retail audits take place in a fair and efficient manner. The Commission Board has approved the following audit guidelines, and expects that audits will be conducted in a manner consistent with these guidelines:

The Commission has approved auditors to undertake the above audits. Please ensure that when you use an auditor that they are approved for the type of audit you would like conducted.

Retail auditor approval process
Parties interested in becoming an approved auditor under the Electricity Governance Rules 2003 should apply using the documentation below.
