Compliance Conference and Rule Change Forum (Third Compliance Conference)

On 16 November 2009, the Electricity Commission held its annual compliance conference at Te Papa in Wellington. The Conference was organised by the Market Governance team and attended by more than 60 people.

This year the conference included a Rule Change Forum where the Commission's General Manager updated attendees on the work the Commission is doing on Rulebook development. The Rule Change Forum will be a regular event.

Attendees were also updated on the outcomes of the Compliance Review and further steps the Commission is taking. There were also presentations on the Commission's consultation on Publishing the EGR Committee Minutes and the proposed Guidelines on reporting and self reporting breaches. Consultation on these initiatives has now closed and the Commission will be updating the Industry in the New Year on how these will be taken forward.
